Inclusivity and Equity In The Tea Sector

Promote, Protect and Advocate
for a just gender inclusion in the tea value chain and industry in
Kenya.

WITEVA is a membership owned welfare association whose
membership is open to any woman working in the tea value-
chain in Kenya and has attained the age of 18 years.

WITEVA draws membership from all the 21 tea-growing counties in
Kenya that include Nakuru, Narok, Kericho, Bomet, Nyamira, Kisii,
Kakamega, Bungoma, Vihiga, Nandi, Elgeyo Marakwet, Trans-Nzoia,
Kiambu, Murang’a, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Embu, Tharaka-Nithi, and Meru.

Our Achievements

  1. Contributor in the Tea Convention in Rwanda 2024
  2. Participated in the NHM day celebration 2024
  3. Participated in the KTDA AGM in Different Factories
  4. Attended the Kenya National Farmers Federation 78th AGM in Thogoto, 2024
  5. Facilitated training of small-scale women and girls on menstruation in Konoin sub-county
  6. Participated during specialty tea conference in Nandi County supported by Solidaridad.
